Manitoba Grants 6.5 Million for Spring Flood Damages
The Manitoba government will provide 6.5 million in disaster assistance through the Manitoba Disaster Assistance Board to private landowners, businesses and municipalities affected by the spring flood. The board has received 503 claims from individuals and 70 municipalities. Total provincial flood costs reach 7.7 million, with 1.2 million for highway repairs and partial recoverability from the federal government.
