Memories of a Decker Boyhood and Obituary Echoes
A reflective reminiscence recalling the July 10 1980 Hamiota Echo obituaries for Jess Richardson Lawrence Tremaine and John Adams. The writer wanders through Decker and Lavinia district memories of families, farms, dances, and a car tragedy linked to the Van Normans and Tremaines, ending with a meditation on memory and time.
