The Citizens Band announce the comedian Tom Marks and a two person supporting company will perform next Thursday night at McConnell's Hall with five vaudeville acts titled The Man from Canada. Tickets cost 50 cents and one quarter.
F C Nunnick, agriculturist for the Commission of Conservation, visited Hamiota to select a district illustration farm. Chas Penny's farm was chosen to test improved farming methods with expert adviser visits and expense coverage by the Commission. two other province farms are Carberry and Morden.
Mr W J Lindsay of Matheson Lindsay Co appointed manager of the elevator system at Grain Crowers Grain Co. His experience in the field is noted as a strength. Also promoted is a local studio ad praising portrait photography and wellness tips urging fresh air and Chamberlains Tablets for health and beauty.
The Hamiota district fair drew about two thousand attendees, with a standout showing in horses. Judges lauded the best collection of agricultural horses seen west of Winnipeg, noting Wyomyo and General Notice as top Clydesdales, while Percheron stallions and mares earned multiple prizes. Cattle, sheep, and fowl displays were smaller but praised, though root and vegetable exhibits suffered from dry weather and higher entry fees reduced ladies work and school children's entries.
