Kenton Centennial marks town and school reunion parade
Kenton’s centennial celebration on July 18 and 19 joined a school reunion with a 55-entry parade led by five RCMP members from the Kenton area. Events included a pancake breakfast, a school grounds opening, bus tours, a fastball game, music and dance, a giant birthday cake, beard judging, auctions, and a street dance. Sunday featured an open air church service with choirs performing Watch Over Me and I Believe in Miracles.

Federal Tax Removal Urged by Manitoba Minister
Manitoba Agriculture Minister Jim Downey urged the federal government to remove the energy tax on farm fuel and natural gas used in nitrogen fertilizer production.
