The Twin Valley Co op annual meeting was held April 12 1983 at the Birtle Community Centre. President Brian Martin General Manager Lionel Harding and Director Norman Morrison attended from Strathclair. John Castle reported 1982 sales of 5995649 up 7 percent with members owning 47.7 percent of the business.

The Miniota Public Relations Committee met April 20 1983 at 7 30 pm in the Municipal Office with nine members. They discussed adopting February 25 1983 minutes, meal ticket sales totaling 128, volunteer recruitment for Centennial Day, and using the former Rivers Agro Centre as Centennial headquarters with specified hours. They planned sign creation, volunteer canvassing, souvenir sales, balloon orders, and advertising efforts across papers radio and TV with community signs and donations noted.

Miniota United Community Welfare group met April 13 at Marge Taylor's home with 12 in attendance. Gladys Clegg and Peg Clark led worship. Plans included a supply request from God's Narrow Reserve for used clothing for all ages and bedding for 25 destitute on the reserve.
