Memories of a Decker Boyhood and Loyal Teachers
In this reminiscence from a Quebec era, the author recalls formative schooling in Decker and Hamiota during the 1930s and 1940s. He notes Miss Grace McConnell and Mr. George Pearson shaped character, discipline, and civic values, while reflecting on attitudes toward race and the influence of teachers on ideals and behavior.
