Manitoba plans 50 million Euro dollar bond issue for hydro funds
Premier Ed Schreyer announced Manitoba will issue 50 million in Euro dollars, raised from an originally planned 40 million for hydro development. The seven year bond pays 8.75 percent, sold at par, in London through the Euro dollar market, with North American yields 8.57 percent. The Double-A rating aided pricing. Canadian value depends on the exchange rate at issuance.
