Waste Management project site selection continues in Hamiota

In the RM of Hamiota the Manitoba Hazardous Waste Management Corporation and the Hamiota Community Advisory Committee pursue reconnaissance drilling to gather hydrogeological data around proposed sites. Landowners are urged to contact CAC member Mary Lowe at the Waste Management Office if interested, as more land could be offered for consideration. The CAC plans further studies and directs the drilling program with land acquisition guidelines developed with the Corporation, while no land has been optioned yet and a detailed site assessment will wait for community direction.
