William Brelsford Dead. Widely Known Middletown Contractor

Word from Gunnison Colorado reports William S Brelsford dead Monday at noon after a year of illness linked to consumption. A native Fidiana and longtime contractor, he built bridges in Butler County and ran a local sawmill two miles west of town. He lived near Winchester Pike and was active in local Democratic circles. His wife and two daughters had lived in Colorado and Arizona before returning to Gunnison, where his death occurred. His father, Pierson Brelsford, and William Paulin Jr. learned of the news as telegrams and messengers moved to bring relatives home, with the body expected to arrive Thursday for burial near the family home. The date of the funeral remains undecided.
