Oxford Plans Made to Launch Coral Union by Miami University

Oxford residents welcome a new Coral Union sponsored by Miami University with first rehearsal October 1. Head of Miami's School of Fine Arts and President Upham collaborated on a community musical group open to Oxford residents, Miami and Western College students, faculty, and nearby neighbors. Rehearsals set for Mondays at 7 30 p.m. in Ban ton Auditorium starting October 10, with program details to be announced next week.

Stewarts Hi Games Tickets Offered For $1

Season athletic tickets for Stewart High School games priced at $1.09 enable holders to attend three home football games and eight basketball games. Football schedule changes include a home game against Howes on October 7 and a night game with Bellevue on October 28. The revised basketball schedule features numerous December and January home and away games with various opponents. The year opens with a membership drive for students, with six members to pay dues via work. Director Miss Overholts leads Girl TLeaders for the year, with Anna Faulkner elected president.

Miami University students may vote by mail this year

Miami University statisticians report about 25 percent of male students over 21 are eligible to vote and may register. most voting will be by mail under a schedule not including a traditional election day. The drive for varsity teams begins October 11 with notable leaders Pat Rousebush and Janet Wieland. Late enrollments reduced the student body from last year and Greek fraternities have been affected by the mood.

Camden Bert Eyter Dies A Preble Banker At 61

Camden Bert Etter a well known Preble banker and farmer died suddenly of heart disease at his country home six miles northeast of Eaton. He was 61, native of Gratis township, director and vice president of a state bank, survived by his wife Katherine, a son Palmer of Lebanon, a grandson Laura Fosdiek of Dayton, and steps for church service. Funeral at Grace church of the Brethren with Rev. Benjamin Petry officiating, burial in Grace cemetery.

Dansey Jewelry Store Robbed By Thief Who Pried Open Front Door

Dansey Jewelry in Cramden was robbed during Tuesday night when a thief pried open the front door to access a store undergoing repairs. St. Mair post members met in Eaton Monday evening as officers were installed by J. DaSchene. Lloyd Zink became commander with Ed Creager as vice commander Bam Ross as adjutant J. E.
