Catholic Knights of Ohio Celebrate Twenty-Five Years Organizing
In autumn 1890 the Catholic Knights of Ohio formed in Manilton to protect families of Catholic men after death. Initiated by Judge Jol I. Neilan and Joseph J. Pater, the movement led to the first branch in Hamilton. The order has grown to 236 local units with over 8,000 members and more than 50 priests, supporting charitable work and family protection. The silver jubilee convention is planned in Washington, marking the original founding year.

Catholic Knights of Ohio Hold Silver Jubilee Convention
The Catholic Knights of Ohio opened their Silver Jubilee convention in Cincinnati with a morning mass at St Stephen's church. Archbishops, priests, and delegates from Cincinnati and Hamilton gathered for sermons, talks on educational liberty, and plans for this year’s events including a parade, banquet, and degree work at the Elks Home.

Revenue stamp taxes repeal eases burdens on businesses
Washington reports that as of today the emergency revenue law is repealed so general stamp taxes on telegraph and telephone use parlor car seats bonds debentures stock certificates and many other instruments are no longer required. In seven months the emergency levy yielded over 29 million dollars.

Presbytery Open Meeting Draws Delegates
The Presbyterian body met with about 200 delegates from Dayton Springfield and nearby areas for a combined session at Westminster Church. An open meeting was scheduled for 730 PM with a formal program including invocation scripture and choir, presiding moderator, and a close to follow sessions into tomorrow morning.
