Oxford Seeks Return of 8000 for New Post Office Project
Washington reports efforts to restore 8000 funds cut from the Oxford post office site under the Emergency Relief Act. Officials dispute a ten percent cap, with Treasury and Treasury officials weighing site viability and potential reversal of the comptroller general's ruling. Senator Wagner criticized the administration, while hearings on the supervising architect’s immediate construction under the act proceed and bids may be issued within two weeks if the ruling is revised.
