Oxford Veterans Medal Presented by Masons to Welliver
At a regular Oxford lodge meeting, F and A M George G O Welliver received a veteran’s medal for long membership. Richard L. Duncan, lodge secretary, presented it. Thomas C. Toy would have also been honored had he lived. Welliver and Lloyd became Master Masons in May 1882. two prior veterans’ medals had gone to cateh A. Bhorn and John F. Keller.

John H. McCray a leading figure in College Corner and surrounding county civic life died Thursday noon at his home near the village after a brief illness. Survived by widow Alpha Tucker McCray, one daughter Martha May McCray, and five children from a former marriage, funeral services to be held at the United Presbyterian Church.
