Vote Yes On City Charter Amendment For Emergency Relief
The amendment seeks to divert funds from gas and electric expansion into the general fund to provide winter relief for hungry and cold residents. It is pitched as a temporary measure during fiscal strain from property declines, with assurances it can be repealed or reconsidered in 1933 if unnecessary. Critics warn of long term fund misallocation without time limits.
