Washington May 20 The senate by a close vote adopted a resolution to authorize a wide ranging inquiry into conditions surrounding the Paint Creek miners strike in West Virginia. The inquiry will be conducted through the education and labor committees and cover peonage immigration mail interference constitutional rights in military trials, Sherman act violations, and discriminatory practices at entry ports with possible arms and explosives imports.
