Pioneer show horse breeder Arthur Sorg dies at 34

Arthur Sorg of New York, noted tobacco industry heir and show horse exhibitor, died suddenly at his home on East Eighty Seventh Street. Born July 22, 1878 in Middletown, he inherited part of his father J. Sorg’s tobacco estate and built a prominent career at Madison Square Garden and other major venues with award winning horses. He married Miss Grayee Anil of Pineburg and was active in multiple clubs. funeral planned in Middletown.
