Amazing Attempt of the Great Eleven Cult to Raise the Dead
California cult led by Maytle Blackburn faces conviction on eight counts of grand theft from oilman Clifford H. Dabney for about 509000. Blackburn claimed donors funded lessons to reveal life’s secrets and described visions from an archangel. Investigations trace bizarre embalming schemes and alleged attempts to revive deceased members, including a girl named Willa, amid claims of a ritual temple in the Santa Monica area.
