Missing Woman Found Dead in Residence by Window

Jeasie Nicomas van wife of David Craigs was found dead in her bath at her residence on North B street Friday. George Polsten broke a bath window to view the woman, who lay with her head on her breast. Coroner said death likely from heart disease or apoplexy. Mrs Nellia South and William Thomas are named as relatives.

Washington March 14 Dr Harvey W Wiley chief of the United States Bureau of Chemistry today handed to Secretary Wilson his resignation stating he will devote the rest of his life to the reform of national wealth departement, entirely separate from government work. He denied plans for federal health department leadership and said he will lecture in Kansas Colorado and other eastern points. President Taft urged universities to recommend a successor to Wiley to obtain opinion on the best chemist. The resignation caps a long Wiley Wilson controversy with friction noted in the House inquiry and prior attempts to dismiss him.

Court house fire toll rises with two dead

The Thursday blaze at the county court house killed John Hunkes and William Love. Driver George Fritz, injured in the motor truck crash linked to the disaster, is in Mercy Hospital in serious condition but expected to recover.
