Human skyrocket blowup ends with escape of Rodman Law

A steel rocket misfire in New York on March 4 hurled Rodman Law twenty five feet but left him unscathed. Fire and smoke erupted as spectators watched the contraption burst apart, the rocket frame broken and Law moving amid burning debris while officials tended to him. An escape aided by protective gear and a parachute enabled his survival.

Chief of Police Involved in 1912 Home Entrance Testimony

Samuel Sehearer testified before the civil service commission that on June 4 1912 he forced entry to his home after doorbell failure and found Chief Fred Kohler hiding behind an ice box. The testimony described alleged misconduct by Kohler and was presented as prosection evidence in the case.

Indianapolis dispatch reports Fred Emberton a fireman aboard a C. H. & D. freight train struck by a passenger train at Trvington last November was awarded $3000 by a jury. Sixteen people died in the wreck. Emberton is the first to receive damages.
