Special to The Journal Oxford December 2 The Welfare committee of the Federation of Clubs reports strong response to winter mis roling work offering staple groceries canned fruit and smoked meats clothing. An accurate inventory is kept with custodians and distributors ensuring all items are tracked. Despite good donations more are needed and barrels in village groceries invite easy contributions. Needy requests can be made by a trusted friend to avoid public humiliation. The committee needs wood and asks farmers with surplus to donate or sell for salting. volunteers haul it to legislators free of charge as supplies dwindle.
