A misprinted health offer promises relief from excessive uric acid and kidney bladder troubles. It claims the remedy eliminates pains from joints muscles and back, and provides a 32 dose trial free if the notice is returned with name and address and a small payment to cover postage.
The Buckley faction of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee elected Dr. U. G. Myers as chairman with Clarence Ohlin as secretary, Walter Oakes as assistant secretary, and Olle Weidner as treasurer. Myers won 46 to 1 over L. C. Shank as the Fifth Ward representative amid Brower faction tensions and an adjournment motion by anti Brower members.
George A. Cramer of Middletown proprietor of the Beek’s Theatre filed a voluntary petition in U S district court in Cincinnati seeking bankruptcy. Liabilities listed at 21609 assets 4003 with exemptions sought. Principal creditors are Charles R. Tay and Fraternal Order of Muses Lodge No 688 Middletown with claims of 700 and 580 respectively for theater equipment and goodwill valued at 0.

Denny Maloney was killed on a Middletown street after a long running neighbor dispute with Courtland Hornshell. Police say Maloney fired first hitting Hornshell, who returned fire and struck Maloney in the heart. Hornshell was captured Sunday morning in Franklin and brought back to Middletown.
Cogswell, a Middletown employee at the Us Charshyawe Paper Co. mill, died after falling from a trestle while loading a cat onto a platform. He was taken to Rolling Mill Hospital where surgeons attempted to save him but he died at 11:00. He leaves a widow and had been in a mental state since the accident. A second report involved Ralph Schutte in Cincinnati, who allegedly jumped in front of a streetcar on Springfield Pike, leaving a mangled body taken to the morgue. his parents mourn him.
Two British light cruisers the Nottingham and Falmouth were sunk Saturday in the North Sea by German submarines while searching for the German high seas fleet. Official Admiralty announcement issued shortly before midnight said diversions and losses were confirmed.
