Farmers urged to boost Butler county fair entries

The fair board plans four special premiums this year to attract farmers and exhibitors to Butler county fair. Dr Charles J Hunter will mail premium books, attraction cards, and district information to encourage entries. The Olio Agricultural Experiment Station invites attendance on October 1, 2, and 4 to see demonstrations and receive a souvenir booklet, aiming to revive the old fair spirit with new features and potential closures if needed.

Cook’s Suspended Sentence For Child Support Payment

George Cook pleaded guilty to failing to support his child and was sentenced by Judge Gard to six months in the workhouse, suspended upon payment of 4100 toward child support and a $2 weekly payment going forward. Charles Gebhardt, 45, and Nannie Need, 31, both of Symmes City, licensed to wed, are involved in a separate notice.

Lancaster seeks divorce in common pleas court
