Sheriff Boner Returns Pleads Not Guilty in Eaton
Sheriff William Boner faced charges of misappropriating 1598 from his office funds and pled not guilty in Eaton Magistrate Court. He was released on 2000 bail after a continuance to August 23. Boner had been missing since the discrepancy was found, returned Saturday, and his bondsmen vowed to cover the loss. A separate note reports Lewis Haag charged with breach of peace after an assault at his home on Saturday night. Haag was arrested at 5 30 Sunday morning and held for a hearing.

Thirteen convicts escape Lima state hospital grounds
Thirteen state penitentiary inmates escaped from their quarters on the state hospital grounds north of Lima Sunday morning. Nine were quickly captured in various city districts, including a giant, EB C Cooper, who held five policemen at bay before police broke his jaw. The remaining four are at large, and a detailed search continues as authorities plan to return the captured men to Columbus.
