Council Sets Street Repairs and Schoolhouse Costs
The city council met with all members present and ordered payments of payroll and bills. A resident urged fire and sewer improvements at Mt Pleasant pike and Weller avenue. Fourth Street paving costs were laid out, city share $2,662.74, and damages on North Fourth Street approved. The city solicitor was directed to sue the Ohio Electric Railway Co. over torn street paving. Many resolutions ordered new sidewalks, street work, and utility extensions, with crosses and gutters to be adjusted and land acquisitions considered.
