Obituary of Orrin F. Whipple Former infirmary director
Orrin Fuller Whipple former infirmary director of Butler county died at his home in Reiley at 9 30 p m after a period of failing health and acute pneumonia. He was born June 28 1851 in Ross township and served as a merchant farmer and longtime Democratic party worker. He served seven years as solicitor for the Butler County Democrat before becoming infirmary director in 1897 and was re elected in 1900. He was a member of several fraternal orders and was survived by two sons Guy B and Ira J Whipple. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm in Reiley church with interment in Reiley cemetery.
