M A Wilkins a stationary engineer was arrested for the murder of his wife whose body was found buried in lime under a shed at their home. He first claimed suicide then said she died in childbirth and he buried her to save funeral costs. Neighbors reported she had not been seen for days triggering the search.
Waukesha Wisconsin November 26 Charles Wheeler a fireman shot and killed Miss May Line and then killed himself after a quarrel between the lovers.

Howard Maxwell former president of Borough Bank of Brooklyn indicted for larceny and forgery. The Kings County grand jury finished work and returned indictments against three men including Jenkins Trust Company president John G. Jenkins for forgery in the third degree. Jenkins was arrested.
