Grimmer tops the ticket with a clear majority over Holzberger by 1860 votes. The result cements Grimmer as the leading candidate while Holzberger trails in second place. Local observers note momentum shifts and ongoing vote tallies across precincts.
Local results show Milliikin securing a school board seat with Shaffer topping the race. Other contests include Ruhl Cook Duffidy and Welsh winning council seats in the community election.
The Democratic Service Board elected Christ Benninghofen John P Heun and Chris Pabst by margins from 250 to 316 marks a decisive victory over the Republicans. Ward totals show Benninghofen and Pabst leading in multiple wards with robust city tallies for Goodman Blair Rothwell and Henn.
Thad Straub is declared next mayor of Hamilton after a sweeping victory over Mark Millikin. Ward results show Straub leading in all precincts with substantial margins including 143 in First Ward and 343 in Fourth Ward, securing a citywide win.

Special to Democrat-San reports from Dayton D November 6 returns show Burkhardt a Democrat elected mayor at 1 am by about a thousand votes. He carried nearly all the Democratic ticket including the three members of the board of public service.
Early returns show democratic mayors elected in Springfield Canton Akron Dayton Portsmouth. Zanesville and Mansfield appear to have elected republican mayors.
Cincinnati results show Leopold Markbreit, a Republican, elected mayor by a decisive plurality likely around 12,000 with the full Republican ticket also prevailing.
The official Vatican organ reports November 5 that rumors of the pope’s ill health are unfounded and that His Holiness remains in good health.
Dr A L Smedley will again preside as president of the council after defeating D W Fitton by 277 votes. In ward results Smedley led in wards two and four, and trailed in ward three. Total votes were Fitton 2354 and Smedley 2631 with a 277 margin.
