In Cincinnati on December 6 the Giants deny reports that Secretary Knowles and Manager McGraw offered Miller Huggins and Mike Mitchell in exchange for Reds players. President Herrmann confirms no such talks occurred and McGraw instead discussed a trade proposal involving Roger Bresnahan for George Schlei and Hans Lobert, which was rejected.
