The weekly club met at Flen Roberts home on Tuesday April 6 with fifteen members present. McCarthy was chosen to present the unit at Girls’ event, with Gwen Powell as chair. Plans were set for a rummage sale April 28 and Poppy Days May 21 and 22. Easter dinner guests included family and church members. new Couple, Richard and Elaine Petrenek, were welcomed into the United Methodist Church.

Ronald Eugene Glade, 19, Guthne Center, enlisted in the United States Army Air Defense Branch on April 15. He will complete basic training at Fort Leonard Wood and Air Defense training at Fort Bliss, with a promised assignment to the Seattle metropolitan area after schooling. Glade joined the Delayed Enlistment Program in February amid personal plans to reunite with his wife Rebecca Glade, a 1970 Panora Linden graduate in Seattle after his training.
