A November 3 special election elected W. A. Moore city clerk successor to Will Pound. Moore won 171 votes to George R. Robinson's 29. Death of Ward Mailley News from Greensburg
Ward Mailley son of Rev. James Mailley of Pullman Washington died June 18 in Kansas City. A 30 year old tenor, he sang for Greensburg audiences and earlier married a Nebraska girl before moving to California as a YMCA athletic director. He leaves a widow and parents two brothers including Charles and sister Margaret.

Hillis Hazelrigg Picnic honor guest in Bracken park
The Gillis Hazelrigg families held a Monday picnic in Bracken's park to honor Hon. David Hillis of Chicago. Forty seven descendants gathered around the dinner in the shade near last year's chautauqua tent. Vernon D. Elder and Mrs. Margaret Jane Foley were the closest relatives. Mr Hillis is a son of David Hillis, a pioneer.

Tommy Hall Recalled From Hartsville Summary
Hartsville correspondence notes Samuel Gall of Breckenridge Missouri will visit Capt. George W Wright and wife this week. Tommy Hall, a Clarksburg born midget, nephew of Thomas J Bryant founder of a business college in Indianapolis, rose from clerk in Adams to Treasury Department in Washington. He later led music at Vermont Avenue Christian Church and was a familiar figure at the capital until his death about thirty years later.
