Dr Curtis Bland elected Secretary at Lawrenceburg meeting of the Fourth District Medical Association where over 200 registrants attended. A boat excursion on the Ohio aboard the Kentucky preceded an elaborate banquet hosted by Dearborn and Ripley counties. Officers elected include President J P Ward Rising Sun and Treasurer J H Green North Vernon.

Madison Fulps, seventy five, a Confederate veteran from Virginia who later settled in Danville Indiana, died of valvular heart disease. He claimed to have fought various battles and was twice wounded, later aligning with the Republican party and voting straight. He recalled a skirmish where he was shot in the left leg by Chet Hall, an Old Seventh Indiana man.

Louis Smalley aged sixty nine of Westport area died Friday afternoon at 5 45 due to a stroke of paralysis suffered a week earlier. Funeral held Sunday at two in the Baptist church Westport conducted by Rev FE Burdick. Survived by wife maiden name Ricketts three sons Vernon Earl Roy and a daughter Mrs William Barclay of Westport.

Woman Jumped From Train At Greensburg Station
Mrs. Joseph Koors and her young daughter from Cincinnati visited her sister in Greensburg. On Franklin Street as the train neared the old depot the woman leaped from the car at about fifteen miles per hour, thinking the train would not stop. She was only slightly hurt after tumbling and was taken to the new station. her child hesitated but did not jump.

Rushville Indiana May 26 Plymouth Lad a Jersey bull sold for 9000 at the sixth annual Jersey cattle sale at Jersey Isle stock farm owned by A P Walker. The buyer was the Sheffield farm manager of Glencale Ohio. The same firm paid 1100 for Duke s Iris the top price for a milch cow. A half a dozen days old calf sold for 125. The total sales today will run about 50000.

Walter Campbell and wife of Milroy welcomed three newborn siblings at their home at night. Neighbors organized a clothing shower for the emergency. It marks the county's first set of triplets born in twelve years. The babies, a former Greensburg girl among the parents, weighed a combined seventeen and a half pounds and all are doing well.

Word arrived Saturday night of the death of Joseph Ford at Lincoln Cass county Indiana. He was about seventy, born near Gr burg, left two sons Martin and Ira, his wife died earlier. He leaves three sisters Mrs. Augustus Miller Mrs. T G Power and Mrs Eliza Gilmour all of this city. Mrs Miller attended the funeral Tuesday afternoon.

At daylight Monday morning the barn of John and George Van derpohl three miles north of Millhousen burned. Six horses grain hay and implements were lost. Neighbors heard horses neighing as the blaze grew. Cause unknown. Loss about $1500 with $200 insurance.

Frank Harding Dies at East Haven Asylum
Frank Harding aged about forty five died at East Haven asylum at nine o'clock Sunday night after a year of mental derangement. He was brother to M. D. Harding of Westport and had worked there until illness. He belonged to IOOF and K of P and was cared for last summer. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 PM in Westport Baptist Church. Survived by widow two daughters father step mothers and four brothers.
