North Central Iowa Diabetes Unit to Meet Thursday
A meeting of the North Central Iowa Unit of the Iowa Diabetes Association will be held Thursday Sept. 13, 1973 at 8 p.m. in the Veterans Room of Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City. Dr. Robert Yeager will discuss dental care and complications for diabetics. All interested persons and members may attend.

Greene City Council approves budget amendments and appointments
The Greene City Council met September 4 with Mayor Arthur Weiss and six council members present. They approved the 1973 budget amendments, adopted the changes, and filed copies with the County Auditor and State Comptroller. They read and approved water and sewer analyses, discussed the 1974 75 budget, and scheduled a public hearing. Ann Grav en was reappointed to the Swimming Pool Board. Maryon Ladwig resigned from the Library Board and Joyce Jaspers was appointed. Building permit approvals were granted for a garage and an room addition. Bills across departments including utilities, sanitation, and the pool were approved for payment. Summary receipts for August 1973 listed various taxes and refunds. The meeting adjourned with all votes aye.
