Marble Rock School opens with 445 in attendance
Marble Rock opened for the new year on Monday August 25 with 445 students in all grades. Elementary enrollment totals 167 with 24 in kindergarten and 30 in first grade through 26 in fifth and 19 in sixth. Junior High holds 115 students in seventh to ninth grades. Principal is Ralph Beane.

Mrs Bird Keith now resides at Chautauqua Guest Home on Chautauqua Avenue in Charles City after a broken hip earlier this summer. She will celebrate her 86th birthday on September 12.

Patti Keith graduated on Saturday August 23 from the Iowa Area Community College in Cedar Rapids with a diploma as a doctor's assistant. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Alton Keith of Toledo formerly of Marble Rock area and attended Rudd Rockford Marble Rock Community High School. The Marble Rock Study Club convenes September 8 and will attend a style show at Charles City High School by Marions Fabrics. The Tuteran Church Women met with Rev William Granger teaching Genesis and Psalms and Mrs Roy Keith hosted a luncheon.
