ASC Announces County Soybean Rates for 1969 Crop
Chairman Kenneth E. Hart of the Conservation County Committee announced 1969 crop soybean county price support rates averaging 2.21 per bushel. The county rates reflect the national average 2.25 per bushel for No. 1 grade soybeans, announced March 6, with last year’s No. 2 grade at 2.50. The national average loan level of 2.25 applies to soybeans at 12.8 to 13 percent moisture and No. 2 or No. 1 grade per factors.

Robert Haylock of Denison named the new engineer in Butler County to replace Dave Everds who resigns to join an investment firm in Davenport. Everds ends October 20 after six years in the role. Haylock, a Maquoketa native and 1963 Iowa State University graduate, will start in Allison on September 15. He previously worked as an engineer for the Iowa State Highway Commission in Davenport and Denison. His wife Hobert and two daughters will relocate with him to Allison.
