Lulu Burling 88 died Oct 4 Bartel s Home Waverly, six year stroke illness. Born Sept 14 1877 daughter of John Emma Ray married Charles Glen Burling Dec 30 1903 Allison. Survived by daughter Irma Burling at home. parents, husband, and daughter preceded in death. two brothers and one sister.

The Becker family reunion took place Sunday October 1 at Heery Woods State Park with 32 attendees. Alfred Schmadeke of Clarksville was the oldest and Timmy Dirks, son of Mr and Mrs John Dirks of Sumner, the youngest. Otto Becker of Enders Nebraska traveled the farthest.

Woman's Club Met In Klunder Home
The Clarksville Woman's Club met Friday afternoon at Mrs. Ernest Klunder's home. Hostesses were Mrs. P. C. Matthias and Mrs. Truman Wamsley. Rev. Laverne Seth spoke and showed Tama Indian life films from his seven years of work, plus hand work. Tray lunches served to sixteen members and two guests.

Nighttime speeding fines across multiple Iowa courts
