Minor school bus pickup collision Tuesday morning

Northern Natural Gas Company and its Peoples Natural Gas Division mailed final payment of 1958 property tax totaling 1 950 960 to Iowa counties. They paid 12 024 in Butler County taxes on transmission and distribution facilities with a second half 6 013 for 1968 payable in 1969. This year the two divisions paid 3 899 293 in property taxes on facilities in 71 of Iowa's 9 counties. The company runs about 7 000 miles of buried pipeline and other facilities in the state, serving 384 Iowa communities while Peoples covers 108 cities and towns.
