Several Cubs received Bobcat Arrows and Webelos honors and awardees included Terry Beck Kevin Nordmeyer Mervin Menken Ronald Bertram Mike Jacobs Ken Filasen Sean Larson Denner Rope and Doug Feldman plus Webelos sportsman and citizen recognitions. A social security representative will be in Allison on December 10 and 31 from 9 to 12 with Waterloo hours listed.

Senior Girl Scouts Gather 18,000 Pounds for Help Project
Senior Girls Scouts took nearly 18 000 pounds of newspapers to Lake Mills for the Deluxe Filter Co to make filters. The company paid 25 dollars per ton, with equal funds given to Forest City home for the handicapped. Scouts plan more drives in January to aid community, handicapped, and their group.

Elda Herman Fick born July 20, 1903 near Allison, spent life farming and later construction, married Clara Emmanee Mevine in 1931, survived by wife Clara, a niece Mrs. Elayne Korinke of Rockford and a nephew Howard Edler, died after a fall in Chapin.
