Final Reminder On Soybean Resealing
Farmers with 1958 era soybeans stored on farms under price support may reseal for an additional year, announced by Theo J. Bauman chair of the Butler County ASC committee. Eligible beans include farm stored sacks under loan or purchase agreements, with quality and storage requirements, offering 17 cents per bushel per full year. Resealing now lets farmers watch markets and redeem their beans later, with prorating if redemption occurs within a year, as USDA reports show potential export demand to Western Europe in late 1959.
