DUST CONTROL Plan Details for County Roads
The county will contract or apply calcium chloride to road sections where land owners or tenants apply and pay. Minimum treatment is 500 feet by 18 feet, using one ton of material in two applications in early June and late August, costing at least $60. The chemical absorbs moisture, reducing evaporation, acting like a light nightly rainfall on roads.
