Relatives here were informed of the death of Lawrence Mc Gee at his home in St Cloud Minnesota due to a sudden heart attack. He was the son of Mrs. Oscar McGee and the late Oscar McGee and a former Greene resident. Survived by his wife two sons his mother three brothers and two sisters. Burial was in St Cloud on Friday March 16.

Sister Mary Popes heads the Sisters' Council in the Sioux City Diocese elected from the Northeast Deanery. As Religion Coordinator and St Cecelia's School teacher in Algona, she has taught for years and earlier served in Dubuque after a Clarke College BA. She has pursued graduate studies in Religious Education and organized regional programs and workshops, fostering lay training and priest sister meetings.
