Rites for Vivian Hubler Former Greene Resident
Services for Mrs. Vivian Hubler 84 of Los Angeles California were held May 28 with burial at Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery. Vivian Hildebrand born February 25 1892 in Greene to Charlie Hildebrand ran a garage and built the building later used by Ecelberger Implement. She first married photographer John Anderson who died. later wed R L Hubler. Survived by daughter Jean Nowitzki three granddaughters two grandsons and brother Wilbur Hildebrand all of Los Angeles. She was preceded in death by her parents a brother Roy a daughter Ada and both husbands. She was a cousin to Hildebrands in the area.

Funeral services for Kenneth Dewey Knight 56 of Greene were held Saturday June 5 at First Presbyterian Church Greene with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Howard Dukelow officiated with Reid's Funeral Chapel arranging. Graveside military rites were by Tuck-Barnett American Legion Post 268. Knight born Oct 5 1919 in Greene died June 2 at Chautauga Guest Home Charles City. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include wife Mildred four sons Jerrald Trenton NJ Richard San Diego Randall Iowa City Stephen Greene two brothers Francis Madison Thomas South St. Paul MN and four grandchildren.
