Funeral services were held at Emmanuel United Church of Christ for Mrs. Fred Klunder 88 who died Friday at Ahrens Rest Home where she had lived since 1965. Survived by two sons two daughters 9 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren two great great grandchildren. Burial in Lynwood Cemetery.

Hickle Reunion Marked 46th Gathering at Clarksville Farm
The 46th Hickle reunion was held Sunday at the James Hickle farm south of Clarksville with a noon picnic. The farm has been in the family since 1855 and is now owned by James Hickle. Thirty-two representatives from Hammond Indiana Mason City Waterloo Cedar Falls Waverly Greene Shell Rock and Clarksville attended. Ida Roberts Delker of Greene was the oldest member present and the farthest guests were Clar ence Ball Clyde and Dale Roberts of Hammond. Bruce Hickle was elected president and Mrs Gilbert Neal secretary.

Floyd County Extension Service reports advance livestock entries for the Floyd County Achievement Show set for August 5 to 8. Swine, baby beef, and lambs dominate, with 217 Baby Beef animals, 33 market barrows, and about 100 lambs from 30 4-H and FFA members. Swine judged August 6. lambs afternoon same day. crossbred hogs plentiful and group sizes up to 35 pigs per group.

Fair features dairy animals and horse show lineup
Fifty dairy animals across Holstein Ayrshire Brown Swiss Jersey and Guernsey breeds will be exhibited Monday afternoon as part of the fair. Older 4-H members may challenge for the Daily Showmanship Award while the horse class grows in popularity with 74 horses shown Monday night at 6 00 p.m. Classes include ponies pleasure horses under and over 55 inches as well as colts and yearlings. After judging, 34 4-H members will perform in front of the Grand Stand during the horse show.
