Missing California children after flood wrecks home
Jim 14 and Cathy 12 Emery Moore children remain missing in Meyers Flat Calif since Jan 16 after a log jam flood demolished their home. Their mother Bertha Brown Moore is a Greene resident and sister to Mrs. Keifer and Mrs. Schafer. Also notes a local honors graduate, Steven L. Hinders, son of Warley Wilkinson, graduating from Sheppard AFB Texas in aircraft mechanics.

Iowa Power Farming Show Opens in Des Moines February 6 7
The Iowa Power Farming Show runs February 6 and 7 at the Veterans Auditorium Des Moines in conjunction with the 78th Iowa Farm Equipment Association convention. It features 149 commercial exhibits, experimental machinery from Iowa State University, and shop projects from Area Community Colleges plus Sears fashion shows for women. About 20 000 visitors from Iowa and surrounding states are expected. Tickets are available from Ecelberger Implement in Greene.
