The Tops Trimettes held their year end supper at El Bar Lanes with 28 members. Rena Kruse received a floral arrangement for losing the most weight since the club formed in April 1965. Veterans Hold District Meeting in Shell Rock
The Veterans of World War I held their third district meeting at Boyd Memorial Hall in Shell Rock on Sunday afternoon. Van J. Ault of Fort Dodge spoke as the principal speaker while Mrs. Lena Ramseyer of Washington, department auxiliary president, attended. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kyle of Greene.

Burning of Greens event crowns scouts at Klassi Acres
The Twelfth Night Burning of the Greens held Sunday at Klassi Acres was planned by ninth grade Cadet Scouts. Debra Uhlenhopp Julie Shultz Cindy Muhlenbruck Debra Osier and Raine Ressler were junior scout princesses while Mary Jane Tefft was cadet scout queen. Mayor Ramker praised the youths for clearing Christmas trees and uniting the community while urging further local projects.

Returned Home From Seattle Visit By Kaisers
Mr. and Mrs. C. Kaiser returned from a two week stay with their son and daughter in Seattle Washington. En route they visited Mrs Kaisers brothers and sisters in law Mr. and Mrs Fred Henline in Seattle and Mr. and Mrs Russell Henline in Spokane Washington. They were joined by daughter Vikki a Greene Community High School student who returned home the prior week.
