Survivors include wife Lilly Greene six daughters sisters brother grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Friday March 2 at 4:30 PM St Peter's Lutheran Church Greene with burial Rose Hill Cemetery. Reid's Funeral Chapel Greene in charge.

Car Crusher to Be in Butler County
The Butler County Board of Supervisors announces a car crusher will come to the county to dispose of old automobiles. Residents may bring cars to Saathoff Auto Salvage Yard, three miles east of Highway 14 on Butler Center Road, at no charge. Vehicles must be delivered within the next week and a half, with crushing expected to take about a week.

Windshield Post Creates Blind Spot at Highway 14 Intersection
Sylvia J. Hawker reports a dangerous design flaw at the Highway 14 stop sign near the school bus barns that hides oncoming traffic behind a windshield post. The blind spot can obscure cars approaching from the right up to 140 feet away, potentially causing deadly collisions.
