A report lists multiple 1959 December arrests: Sheriff Vern Wedeking of Clarksville appeared before Judge Wild on two counts of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, pleading guilty and fined 100 dollars plus 13.50 costs. Roy Hauser of Iowa Highway Patrol arrested Wedeking north of Clarksville on December 15. Charles Henry Jobe, 19, of Hampton, was arrested by the Dumont marshal on December 20 for intoxication, and the mayor of Dumont fined him 100 dollars or 30 days in county jail. Jobe could not pay and remained jailed in Allison.
