Putnam County’s corn show and fall festival of 1920 closes with a grand mask revel tonight. A parade forms at 8 in front of the city library, with a king and queen to be crowned under roped streets, as two to three bands provide music and shops glow with fall decor and farm exhibits across uptown.
Trustee of College Avenue Church and Trustees of Mt Zion Baptist church transfer lands in Greencastle township for 500 dollars and 2550 dollars respectively. R Poster sells in Russellville for 4500 dollars. Hoodt sells in Cloverdale Ville to Mundy, and US to Curtis in Monroe. Woodmire sells to Kohen in Cloverdale for 1200 dollars. Frost sells land in Washington township to Archer for 900 dollars.
Roachdale Indiana high school beat Pittsboro 88 to 12 on Wednesday night. Hodge and Sands starred for the locals with long shots, as Green Castle comes here Friday night.
Prices in Indianapolis show grains steady to mixed with hogs trading mostly steady. Top hog price reached 13.75 while most sales ran 13.25 to 13.50. pigs 13.50, sows 12.50. cattle steady, calves 50 cents to 1 dollar lower, top steer 15.50. sheep and lambs firmer with best lambs around 11.00. Local buyers led activity with about 5 000 head, outsiders 4 500.
Announcement of the marriage of Miss Alma Forsythe pianist with Smith Spring Holmes Orchestral Co and Prof Maynard Daggy son of Mr and Mrs Charles Dagey of this city has been received. The bride appeared in concert in Fillmbore Monday night. Daggy is a widely known chautauqua lecturer.
