Dropped Gun Likely Caused Death of Frank Day
Former Greencastle man Frank Day, 47, died Tuesday near Breckenridge Texas after dropping his shotgun while climbing a fence. The gun discharged into his left chest as he hunted with Charley Lemmick. Funeral planned Thursday at Goulding home on North College Avenue. Day had recently moved from Greencastle to Texas and planned to return there Wednesday. He leaves a widow and a stepdaughter, with cousins in this city.

Masonic Temple Planned for Greencastle at $65 000
Plans accepted for a $65 000 Greencastle Masonic Temple to rise on the Williamson lot at Washington and Vine streets. Architect J W Geddes of Vincennes will design a brick structure with granite trim, 119 by 101 feet lot, four levels including a mezzanine and basement. The building will host lodge rooms, social clubs, a large armory, and community spaces with thoughtful access from Washington and Vine streets. Common stock of $100 000 will be issued for the project, promoted by Temple Lodge F A M organized in 1843.
