A dozen armed bandits attacked the New Orleans limited on the Illinois Central at Paxton Illinois wounding trainmen and mail clerks before looting the mail car. The robbers dynamited the car door and escaped by waiting automobiles as passengers watched.
On the 13th birthday of James Russell Hamrick he held a six o clock dinner for seven boyfriends. After a four course menu the host took guests to the movies and received several remembrances. Nearby property transfers include Plummer land $1000. Rosa A Marquis to Verlin Lee Glover Greencastle lot $1. and more across Greencastle Marion and Madison townships with nominal sums.
Everett E Platt formerly of Cloverdale was arrested in Frankfort and brought to jail on a charge by Grant Duncan alleging he removed mortgaged property from the county. Duncan had sold Platt an automobile on a part payment plan with a mortgage preventing removal until paid. The machine allegedly was taken to Frankfort.
Transfers include Jacob Wilson to Sophia Vaughan for a Greencastle lot at 1 dollar and multiple other parcels in Greencastle Monroe Floyd Warren Clinton and Marion townships with prices ranging from 1 to 6 300 dollars. Notable entries involve the City of Greencastle selling a Forrest Hill cemetery lot for 150 dollars and Chapel Cemetery Co transferring a Chapel Cemetery lot for 50 dollars. On March 28 we boarded the Vandalia train at Greencastle and changed at St. Louis to the Missouri Kansas and Texas line for Parsons Kansas where we stayed nearly two weeks with relatives. Our brother Henry C. Wright lived there for many years and his wife and two sons and two daughters still reside. Parsons lies in the southern part of Kansas, a well laid out city amid a fairly good agricultural region though soil quality is better in northern parts.

State Game Officer 10 to give a talk at the annual Putnam County Fish and Game Protective Association banquet in the court house lobby Thursday night. George N. Mansfield and others will attend and present a talk. after the banquet the crowd will view seven reels of sport pictures at the Opera House showing fish protection and Lake Wawasee.

Grand Central Hotel dining room proprietor Eric Vermillion says DePauw University student Harold Martin attacked him as he left the rear of the hotel, knocking him down and kicking his jaw. Doctor C. T. Zaring treated the injury, and an assault affidavit is expected to be filed.
Green Castle High School received a Chicago University certificate listing it on the Accredited List. Graduates admitted to college without examination for further study based on this recognition, following a thorough inspection by Chicago faculty last year.
