Young man given reformatory sentence for forgery
Dean Vaught twenty of Limedale was sentenced to the Indiana State Reformatory at Pendleton for two to one and a half years on a forgery charge. He pled guilty in the Putnam circuit court after being held in jail since his arrest Saturday. The judge suspended the sentence on condition he return to his father's farm to tend crops and repay the fraudulent check by making good the amount.

Greencastle will observe Memorial Day with a Forest Hill cemetery program on Friday at 2:00 p.m. The parade forms at 1:90 near the Court House and transportation to the cemetery is provided for veterans. A lone masked bandit boarded the Chief Santa Fe train near Los Angeles and robbed several passengers including Marian Nixon and Ruby Keeler, stealing about 12600 in diamonds rings and cash. Nixon lost two rings valued at 11000 and 400 in cash, Keeler screamed, and the bandit fled at a lone spot after a flash of gunfire. Conductor Vierling and other guards were held up. loot included diamonds and cash from multiple passengers.
